GSI Professor Ellis Adams Invited to WaterPower Symposium
Dr. Ellis Adjei Adams has been invited to present at the final WaterPower Symposium, which will be held July 15-17, 2019 in Trier, Germany. WaterPower is a third party funded research project and collaborative research team that has spent the past five years conducting research on the urban waterscape of Accra, Ghana.Their final symposium, “Transformative Development Pathways: Critical Perspectives on Urbanisation, Land and Water,” will center on the following themes:
- Water Governance, Institutional Bricolage and Hydro-Social Relations
- Water Practices in the Provision of Water
- Conservation Politics of Wetlands and the Articulation of Ecosystem Services
- Socio-ecological Inequalities of Land and Water in the Peri-Urban
- Urban Water Futures
This invitation is a great honor for both Dr. Adams and the Global Studies Institute.
